The Fifth Amendment

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; or shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, wihtout just compensation."

For a violation of this amendment in the extreme sense I think of a British soldier or other higher up government official maybe jealous over a civilian man's wife, land, house etc and makes up some capital or infamous crime and has the man arrested and all his 'property' taken without any public knowledge to counter any of these actions. I think this amendment protects us from a lot of those concepts. First, the trial is public, a person does not have to be a witness against himself, tried twice for the same crime, or have his property taken.

I chose this video to show indictment of a Grand Jury. It also shows an accused making comments, and the entire matter does seem to have went public.

This video is very cheesy, but I chose this just to highlight the Miranda rights; the right to remain silent.
