Amendment XVII

"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures. When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct. This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election of term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution."

This states how the Senate shall be comprised and how vacancies in the Senate shall be filled. Senate shall serve for 6 years and there will be 2 from each state.

I totally disagree with her. I do not think that insurance companies are the 'bad guys' nor is it wrong for them to make profit. She said it was around $12 billion... was that for all companies? I am curious as to why they have stipulations not allowing a lot of insurance companies to cross state lines. Also, there are more costs for Americans and Insurance companies from medicaid/Medicare patients, drug addicts, illegal immigrants, unnecessary ER visits, the list could go on and on. Where is all the money going to come from to support the health care plan?
