The Eighth Amendment

"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."

This is pretty much self-explanatory. However, I think there are some cases where excessive bail is required so that there is no chance for someone to do anything shady or escape. Should these be allowed for extreme cases? Cruel and unusual punishments can be pretty vague. This also suggest that the punishment fit the crime.

I chose this video to shed light on the excessive bail part of this amendment.

I chose this video because this is what I would consider a cruel and unusual punishment that does not fit the crime.
